On 29th July 2026, Huvepharma EOOD entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Euroapi S.A. for the acquisition of 100% of the capital in Euroapi Italy S.r.l., which remains subject to customary closing conditions, e.g., Golden Power clearance etc. The scope of the deal includes the manufacturing site in Brindisi, Italy, that has a rich industry heritage in the field of microbiological fermentation, dating back to 1966.
"There are great synergies between the modern biotechnology profile of Huvepharma and the vast experience and expertise of the employees at the Brindisi site" commented Huvepharma President and CEO, Kiril Domuschiev. He added, "Huvepharma plans to make full use of these traits by bringing innovative products and formulations to the market. We remain focused on developing, manufacturing, and marketing animal and human health and nutraceutical products, and this acquisition demonstrates that commitment to our customers."
All Huvepharma products are produced in-house, in manufacturing facilities owned by the companies within Huvepharma Group. This gives Huvepharma full control over the production processes and ensures product quality is of the highest standards. Having full control also enables Huvepharma Group to be agile and flexible, quickly adapting and improving product formulations to meet the changing needs of the customers.
The acquisition increases Huvepharma's fermentation capacity by 25%, bringing their total capacity to more than 12,000m3. This strengthens their position as a European leader in the biotechnology industry and allows further expansion to their global business. The acquisition reinforces the confidence that Huvepharma's customers can have in its long-term, sustainable and reliable business model for product manufacturing.
