We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Infrastructure Administrator to support, secure, and further develop our Azure cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across all infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and continuously optimise Azure production environments to ensure high reliability, performance, and availability.
- Monitor and enhance the security posture of existing and future Azure environments.
- Evaluate, plan, and automate scaling and capacity management within Azure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, connectivity, security, and availability in Azure environments.
- Support the full lifecycle management of Azure infrastructure components across multiple environments.
- Implement configuration changes based on security assessments, internal policies, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure infrastructure components into operational processes and procedures.
- Collaborate actively with security teams on risk mitigation, operational hardening, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Successfully completed degree in IT, Telecommunications, or comparable education.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting applications and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure DevOps and Terraform.
- Strong experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Very good knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery and High Availability strategies for Azure environments.
- Solid understanding of Azure security services and concepts, including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, Blueprints/Landing Zones, Azure Firewall, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
- Proven experience analysing, debugging, and troubleshooting issues using logs and telemetry from: Azure Application Insights, Azure API Management, and Azure Log Analytics.
- Good understanding of the ITIL framework.
- AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
