Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Alteryx Workflow Data Analytics Engineer to join our IT organisation and support the automation and optimisation of company processes across the group. The ideal candidate has business-oriented mindset with solid technical expertise.

The role focuses on designing and maintaining robust workflows in Alteryx Designer, with a strong emphasis on intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and financial data transformation. 

You will work closely with Group Finance and Controlling teams as well as other business units to ensure accurate, scalable, and auditable data processes that support consolidation and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable workflows in Alteryx Designer. 
• Support and automate intercompany reconciliation and elimination processes across multiple entities.
• Translate business and accounting requirements into technical workflow solutions.
• Integrate and transform data from ERP systems and other financial data sources.
• Ensure high standards of data quality, control, and auditability.
• Technical support of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Optimise existing workflows for performance and stability.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with internal standards.
• Contribute to governance, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills & experience

• 3-5+ years of experience working with Alteryx Designer in a corporate environment.
• Strong SQL and data processing skills.
• Proven experience with ETL processes and data transformation. 
• Experience working with financial data.
• Solid understanding of intercompany processes and eliminations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with financial consolidation processes and data processing. 
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, QlikView or other reporting systems.
• Experience in a multinational/matrix organisation. 
• Understanding of data structures and table relationships.
