As part of the expansion of our team responsible for integrating energy management systems, we are looking to hire an Energy Portfolio Specialist.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of the company's energy portfolio with the aim of cost optimisation and risk minimisation
- Monitor, analyse and forecast energy consumption and market prices across different markets (day-ahead, intraday).
- Prepare production and consumption schedules
- Track balancing market performance and propose solutions to optimise imbalances
- Prepare regular analyses, reports and recommendations regarding the company's portfolio strategy and market trends
- Submit and process data in the specialised platforms of the Electricity System Operator and the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange
- Maintain communication with traders, partners, operators and energy service providers
- Participate in the development of forecasting models and risk management strategies
- Contribute to the development of pricing strategies and models, including process automation
- Participate in the company's daily trading activities on the energy markets
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes in the energy sector
Requirements
Education
Higher education in Economics, Energy, Engineering or a related field.
Special knowledge and skills
- Professional experience in the energy sector, electricity trading, portfolio management or energy markets is considered an advantage
- Solid understanding of electricity system processes and market structures
- Ability to analyse macroeconomic, regulatory and market factors affecting energy prices
- Understanding of business process automation principles and the use of software tools for analysis and modelling
- Excellent command of Excel and information systems
- Good command of English

- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Initiative and a proactive approach
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
