We have more than half a century of expertise in the fermentation and manufacturing of human, animal health and nutritional products. Our growth is both organic and through acquisitions. We have successfully integrated products, facilities and know-how from numerous prestigious brands across many of the industries we work in and continue to look for other strategic acquisitions to help us create a balanced product portfolio and achieve our goals.
The accounting team currently consists of two accountants. The new accountant role is a full-time position (40 hours a week) with flexible working hours, reporting to the Chief Accountant.
Function
In this position you will be dealing with:
- Various VAT-declarations (BE + other EU) on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Assisting the team in the daily operational accounting tasks (financial journals, purchase invoices,...)
- Back-up of other accountants
- Cashflow management (preparing foreign currency exchanges, ICO-payments,...)
- Preparing vendor payments in Isabel
- Controlling and administrating the expense note application
- Handling of the general finance mailbox
- Preparing and recording monthly accruals and deferrals
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
- Assisting in ad hoc projects to optimise current processes
Profile
- You have obtained a bachelor's degree in accountancy
- You have 5+ years of experience in accountancy
- You have strong VAT knowledge and experience is a plus
- You have good IT skills (Excel, Word and Isabel, MS AX2012, MS D365 F&O)
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
- You are accurate and stress-resistant with a great sense of responsibility
- You are proactive, eager to learn and have an analytical mindset
