To control disease, you first need to understand its causes and manage them accordingly. Diagnosing Eimeria maxima is difficult, but crucial in order to minimize the negative impact it has on performance and intestinal health in broilers. Aviapp®, the health monitoring platform from Huvepharma®, helps capture and analyze prevalence data for all Eimeria species. Insights from Aviapp® show that the presence of E. acervulina is an indication of insufficient coccidiosis control and can be used as a potential detector for other species which are more difficult to diagnose.
