For prevention and treatment of Avian coccidiosis.
AMPROL PLUS offers the benefit of two different medications in a feeding program designed to prevent the onset of coccidiosis, where E. Maxima may be more of a serious challenge. The ability to choose from two different medication levels allows you to respond to the severity of the coccidiosis challenge.
Chickens: For most field conditions as they exist under current modern management practices, use 0.0125% amprolium- 0.0004% ethopabate medicated feed. Where severe coccidiosis exposure may exist, use 0.025% amprolium- 0.0004% ethopabate medicated feed. This will require the use of 1 lb. of AMPROL PLUS and 1 lb. of AMPROL 25% per ton of medicated feed. Use the AMPROL PLUS medicated feed as the only ration from the time birds are placed on litter, until past the time when coccidiosis is ordinarily a problem.
Chickens.
Use as the sole source of amprolium. Do not use amprolium-ethopabate medicated feed as a treatment for outbreaks of coccidiosis. Do not change litter while feeding this product unless absolutely necessary. If losses exceed 0.5% in a 2-day period, obtain an accurate diagnosis from your veterinarian or poultry pathologist. Losses may result from intercurrent disease or other conditions affecting drug intake, which can contribute to the virulence of coccidiosis under field conditions. Do not use in feeds containing bentonite.
