It is active mainly against Gram-positive microorganisms and some Gram-negative microorganisms (streptococci, staphylococci, Pasteurella spp., mycoplasmas, etc.), as well as against mycoplasmas, etc. Tilmicosin reaches maximum blood levels in an hour after a single subcutaneous injection of 10 mg/ kg m. (=1 ml/ 30 kg m. of Tilmovet 30% solution for injection) and maintains high therapeutic concentrations in the target tissues for three days.
