Its antinematodal effect is directed against some roundworms - Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Ancylostoma caninum, A. brasiliense, Uncinaria stenocephala, Strongyloides stercoralis, and also against Dirofilaria immitis, Filaroides osteri. Abamectin induces insecticidal effect on some insects - Linognathus setosus (louse), Ctenocephalides canis (canine flea), C. felis (feline flea), Pulex irritans (human flea), as well as acaricidal effect on ticks - Demodex canis, Otodectes cynotis, Sarcoptes canis, Notoedres spp., Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus and some other pasture ticks.

The two active substances of the preparation complement each other’s action, thereby providing a wider antiparasitic effect with a single administration. The product is well tolerated by dogs (with the exception of some breeds see under “Contraindications”). In case of overdosage, salivation, pupil dilation and gait disturbance may occur.
