With an official ceremony, held on June 21, 2012, in the town of Razgrad, Bulgaria, Huvepharma® AD through its subsidiary Biovet® JSC, has announced the opening of its new EUR 30 million plant for production of biotechnological and pharmaceutical products. Ministers and other prominent political and public figures, including the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Mr. Boyko Borisov, were present at the ceremony.
The investment was completed in one year, it doubled the production capacity of Biovet® – Razgrad site and provided for the opening of 220 new job positions for highly-qualified specialists. The new plant meets all standards of the global pharmaceutical and biotech industry and its latest generation of automation and high technology equipment guarantee for the production of highest quality standard products for EU and the US markets.
In the last several years Biovet® JSC, a leading European manufacturer of biotechnological and pharmaceutical products with more than 55-year tradition and experience in this industry with products , marketed in over 70 countries and more than 98% production export, has made considerable investments in its production plants (Peshtera, Razgrad, Botevgrad).
The main shareholder of Biovet® JSC is the multinational company Huvepharma® AD, which specializes in production and commercialization of coccidiostats, feed additives, veterinary products and APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients). Huvepharma® has manufacturing plants and R&D centers in Europe and the USA, and subsidiaries on all major international markets.
