Recently Dr. Dennis Smulders, Global Product Manager Lianol®, Huvepharma® has published three abstracts concerning the application and efficacy of Lianol® range products. Below you can find a short summary of the publications and details of the editions:
“International Pig Topics” Volume 27 Number 4, page 23-24
This article focusses on the use of Lianol® Solapro in fattening pigs. It highlights a trial where it is monitored lean meat percentage on slaughtered carcasses comparing a control group with a group that received 300grams Lianol® Solapro per ton of feed from of 35kg of live weight until slaughter. In this trial the lean meat content increased by almost 1.4%. Next to this trial, the results of the first 2 fattening trials are also shown; these trials resulted in a relative increase of the lean meat content of 1.36% and 2.02% and an improvement in feed conversion of about 5%.

This article reports the beneficial effects of Lianol® Colstro on IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor-1), IgG (immunoglobulin G) and pre-weaning survivability.

This article reviews Lianol® Ferti. The recent trial that it’s performed at the Pig Innovation Centre in Sterksel (part of Wageningen University) is discussed. This trial clearly demonstrates that Lianol® Ferti Tablets can increase the number of live born piglets by 0.66% and the total born by 0.76%.
